Every Child matters in St Albans District
The St Albans District Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership
What is it?
A partnership joining up services for children, young people and families
Who are we?
Representatives from a diverse range of voluntary and statutory agencies working alongside children, young people and families
Why do we need a partnership?
By working together we can do more to meet the needs of all the children and young people in our communities. We can share ideas and resources, agree common priorities and plans to build brighter futures for all, striving to tackle disadvantage and discrimination and making the most of the opportunities locally
How will we do this?
- By listening to children, young people and families
- By identifying areas of need, agreeing a shared way of working and seeking solutions.
- By linking to and learning from other partnerships across the county
What's happened so far?
The partnership was established at the conference in February 2005 and has since met to address the following: · Terms of reference · Membership and representation · Long-term strategy
What happens next?
We need your views to help us plan the future of the partnership. To make things better for children, young people and families, get your views heard by attending the next event:
Tuesday 21 February 2006
10am-4pm
Taking Action for Children and Young People in St Albans District at the Pastoral Centre, London Colney
An opportunity for everyone working with children and young people to:
- find out what the partnership has been doing
- draw up a picture of the current situation for children and young people locally
- identify priority actions for the partnership in the next year
