St Albans and District Local Strategic Partnership Constitution
The overarching vision of the Local Strategic Partnership is "to work towards the achievement of the vision as set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy, Shaping our District Together for 2021", with its objectives being to:
- work in partnership to ensure local people receive the best possible services and to add value by working jointly (working smarter not harder);
- develop and implement a Community Strategy with specific actions and targets, which reflects local needs and service priorities;
- provide leadership for the community
- review achievements and revisit targets within the Strategy on a regular basis;
- identify new and pool existing resources, and ensure resources at the Partnership's disposal are used effectively;
- support bids to fund projects which work towards the priorities as stated in the Community Strategy for the district;
- rationalise existing plans, partnerships and networks where appropriate
- identify gaps in the existing and planned work of partners, partnerships and networks in working towards addressing local needs;
- act as an inclusive body, sensitive to the different needs of a range of interest groups
- consult with and engage citizens, residents and community representatives creatively and inclusively
- work with existing partnerships, networks and consultative forums in a way which adds value
- reduce inequalities, creating a fully inclusive society
- work with regard to other partnerships, strategies and targets
affecting the local area
