1. Want more volunteers?
2. Want free publicity?
3. Want money?
Read on, & be prepared for action!
A first for St Albans voluntary services! A speed matching event to
find the perfect match for people with time or skills to give to
organisations who are members of the CVS.
Along the lines of a speed dating event, we are looking for 20 member
organisations to take a table and spend a few minutes with potential
volunteers to find a perfect match.
We are compiling a register of interest NOW so get in quick via
wendy@cvsstalbans.org.uk to get on the list. We want a range of
organisations and those not on a table, are invited to bring a display
as there will be some room at the venue. Again, get in quick to say
this interests you. We'll confirm next steps
(not a member? join now! Details on www.cvsstalbans.org.uk)
And if that wasn't excitement enough! The Review and Observer
newspapers have got right behind our event and want to run
a series of articles about local organisations and local volunteers in
the 5 weeks leading up to Feb 11th. The first on January 9th will be a
two page spread!
Money? It will help us to promote you and your needs if you can give
us real examples of what money can buy for you so please help us fill
in the following. If you donate:
£50 the difference made will be ..................
£100
£500
£1000
Please reply and tell us what difference these amounts would make to
your organisation and the people or animals that you are involved
with. Who knows how many cheque books will snap open if people know
exactly what their money will buy. How many hours of care? How many
bus driver hours? How much cat food? How many respite holidays? etc!
Get involved with the Speed Matching event and email today to
- register your interest in a table and / or display
- give contact names and numbers for free publicity
- say what impact additional money will make for you
We are also delighted to announce our first sponsor of our event:
